A.G.M. January 2010
This year's A.G.M. was cancelled due to the weather. It will not be re-convened at a later date. The proposal that
no trophies be given out for any of the league competitions with the exception of the Tom Hall & Billy Bradshaw has
been accepted after Chris Ellis canvassed club representatives.
Items which would have been pointed out had the meeting taken place:-
(1) Prizes for Divisional best player. - These are given to the player who has won the most
games in the year. Ties are separated by the better chalk difference. This has been the method used since the league was formed
and prevents persons from not playing difficult matches to preserve a high average.
(2) Separating teams with equal points in the league tables. - My program has now been
amended to automatically place the team with the better net chalk diference above the other team.
Missing Results Postponed matches / Late Cards: Result cards have not been received

Information regarding 21-0 scores
In the event of anybody winning a played game 21-0, please note that all such scores will always be assumed
to be an unplayed game and discounted from both players statistics unless confirmed to the results secretary.
Floodlighting : The Brooke Hotel and Walnut Hotel no longer have floodlighting.
Parking Restrictions :
These are applicable at the following greens.
Nags Head Hotel: Bowlers MUST NOT use the car park, see paragraph above.
Stanley Arms: Please park away from the pub on the road.
Liver Hotel: Please use the library car park opposite.
Note also:
Brooke Hotel: The restriction on parking has been lifted by the new Landlord.

The league tables and statistics make use of computer technology to provide more detail than would otherwise
be possible. The headings used in these pages are interpreted as follows:

| Shot Avge - Number of chalks scored by the player less the number of points against divided by the no. of games played. | |
| % Win - This is the percentage of wins by the player for all games. This is the prime measure of a players position in this table. The secondary factor is the total number of games played. Third is shot avge. | |
| TR - The players ranking in his own team. | Div - The players ranking in the whole division. |
| Rating Pts - Rating Points per match. This is just a bit of fun. My attempt at a rating system. It was last amended in 2009. Players get points according to how their opponent is ranked in their own team. A win over the opposing teams 10th ranked player = 1.0pts. A sliding scale gives varying points upto 1.9 over the opponents best rated player. An way win multiplies the points by 1.5. There is a sliding scale of points for the loser depending on his score. 10% reduction from the points that would have been obtained for a win, for every chalk less than 21. Hence 90% of points for a losing score of 20, down to 10% for a losing score of 12. All players have a team ranking of 10 until they have played 4 games. | |
